According to Statista, the UK generates over two million metric tons of plastic waste each year.

We also know that the UK consumes over two and a half billion litres of bottled water every year.

That's at least 70 x 500ml bottles per person.

We gathered extensive research on sales of bottled water at golf clubs. On average, 3,280 bottles of water are sold in every golf shop each year and less than 10% of these golf clubs had recycling stations on the course.

We know that over two million pieces of litter are dropped every day in the UK, costing £663 million annually to clean up. The pieces of litter that are not collected will end up in streams and rivers and eventually in the ocean.

In the ocean, plastic waste and pollution injures and kills fish, seabirds and marine animals.
More than 1 million seabirds and 100,000 marine animals die from plastics pollution every year.
