The future of the planet is in our hands
We can all play our part to help secure a better future for our planet.
Our problem
According to Statista, the UK generates over two million metric tons of plastic waste each year - 50% of this gets incinerated.
The golf industry contributes significantly, with thousands of plastics, disposables and non-recyclable products discarded yearly.
Combine this with excess chemical usage on the golf course, poor water management and high emissions created from golf venues and their supply chains alike.
Such trends demand a shift towards sustainable practices within the golf industry, from products and packaging to clubhouse emissions and on-course management of nature and wildlife.
Our company
Founded by PGA Professional and sustainability expert Alex Nicholson, Fore! The Planet is the home of sustainable golf.
Fore! The Planet is a hub for everyone in the golf industry to improve their sustainability credentials with advice, initiatives, solutions and eco-friendly products.
We work with 100+ UK golf venues including the likes of Royal Birkdale, Sunningdale and Muirfield as well as many corporate events, golf societies and golfers searching for sustainable products.
Our social channels raise awareness through education and we plant trees for products sold, creating a measurable impact along the way!
Our mission
We aim to work alongside as many golf venues across the UK as possible - helping them reduce single-use products from the day-to-day running of their business and introducing exciting planet-freindly initiatives, products and brands to help them revolutionise their golfer experience as well as dramtically improve their environmental footprint.
To date, we work with over 100+ UK golf venues and have helped remove over 200k single-use plastic bottles from landfill through our partnership with Re:Water.
Here are a few examples of the projects that we've loved producing for our customers and the sustainability benefits for their venue and the planet.

Our values
We are proud to partner with Carma, a leading environmental organisation dedicated to reforestation and carbon offsetting. Through this partnership, we are committed to making a real impact by planting trees both in the UK and overseas, helping to restore ecosystems, absorb carbon, and support biodiversity.
Where we plant trees:
π³ UK Reforestation β We help rewild and restore native woodlands across the country, improving biodiversity and natural flood defenses.
π International Impact β Our efforts extend globally, supporting large-scale reforestation projects in areas severely affected by deforestation.
Our vision
Deforestation and climate change threaten our planetβs future, but planting trees is one of the most effective ways to combat these challenges. Trees absorb COβ, improve air quality, and provide essential habitats for wildlife. By working with Carma, we are contributing to:
β
Carbon Reduction β Offsetting emissions by restoring forests
β
Wildlife Conservation β Protecting natural habitats and biodiversity
β
Community Support β Creating sustainable opportunities for local communities
